ROYAL BRUNEI CULINARY HOSTS “COOKING WITH SEOUL” IN CONJUNCTION WITH BRUNEI DECEMBER FESTIVAL 2021

Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) and event partner Mix Media hosted A Virtual Culinary Journey; “Cooking with Seoul” in conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2021, supported by Embassy of the Republic of Korea on Saturday, 11th December 2021 from 2.00PM to 3.30PM at RBC Central Kitchen in Lambak.

 

The “Cooking with Seoul” event is a virtual Cooking Demonstration and Cook-along class which is open for members of the public who purchase the participation fee of $28.00 per person, inclusive of the prepped ingredients for cooking.  Proceeds of the participation fee will be donated to the COVID-19 relief fund.

 

Present during the event was the Special Guest, His Excellency Kim Soung-eun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Brunei Darussalam. RBC Senior Manager, Mr. Alvin Voon and His Excellency gave a short speech welcoming the participants who joined via Zoom application.

 

The Cooking Demo was led by RBC Chef Samliwati Binti Awg Hj Damit who showcased two Korean fusion cuisines with a Bruneian twist such as Yangnyeom Korean Fried Chicken with Chili Padi and Beef Bibimbap Fusion bowl with signature Sambal sauce, alongside emcee DJ Tina. The event was Participants who registered will have an enjoyable time while staying at home, especially during the pandemic and also for the participants to able to cook for a good cause.

 

This event is in hopes that the virtual cultural and culinary exchange will create awareness to Bruneian on Korean cuisines and ingredients, providing expert tips and techniques to prepare the best fusion Korean home-cooked comfort food recipes.
